Playing comfort

This P bass has a maple neck with a smooth satin-gloss finish and modern C profile. The nut has a relatively narrow width of 41.3 mm; the fretboard has a 9.5-inch radius and you get 20 medium jumbo frets. All of this means that when your hand is wrapped around the neck, there is an all round sense of playing comfort and the satin finish makes sure there's no fear of slipping during those sweatier jam sessions.

Punchy sound

Fender has been building their solid body instruments with alder since 1956. It's a lightweight wood that makes for a bright, balanced sound.
